La Tamarissière Campsite in Agde—Water Park

Our 4-star campsite, the gateway to Sète

A protected pine forest, seaside “
,” and an eco-chic approach

Between Agde and Marseillan, our 4-star campsite is set in a protected, two-century-old pine forest that slopes down to the beach. This rare setting sets the tone: nature takes precedence, the buildings blend into the background among the pines, and the wild coastline breathes freely. For those who value sustainability, our eco-friendly campsite implements concrete measures, from waste sorting to lagoon water management.

Another major advantage—especially if you want to explore the area around Sète—is the campground’s location itself. Our campsite near Sète offers direct access to the beach, which makes all the difference: you don’t need a car for your first swim of the day—or your last. That’s why so many vacationers choose our Mediterranean seaside campsite as their home base during their stay.

The lagoon, the campsite’s signature water feature

A relaxing swim inspired by tropical islands

The first instinct upon seeing the pool is to grab the camera. Our campsite with a lagoon features a concept that’s unique to the region: a beach of fine white sand that slopes gently into clear water. No salt, no harsh chlorine: the water is filtered using UV light and sand, which is gentle on the skin—even that of toddlers. It’s easy to spend the whole day here, between swimming, lounging on a deck chair, and reading in the shade of the pine trees. The kids splash around in the shallow end, while teens prefer the lounge chairs set up around the perimeter. Just a five-minute walk away, the ocean takes over.

This combination of the lagoon and the Mediterranean offers the ultimate in campsite luxury in Sète, while retaining its natural charm.

FAQ – Sète Campsite

We answer you

How do I get to Sète from our campsite?

Sète is about a 40-minute drive from our campsite, via the N112 or the road that runs along the lagoons. During the season, a bus line runs between Agde and Sète, and the Agde train station offers frequent TER trains to the Sète train station, allowing you to visit the city without worrying about parking.

Can we attend the Sète water sports competitions during our stay?

Yes, the Saint-Louis water sports competitions are held in August on the Royal Canal. It’s a must-see event in Sète—it’s free and open to everyone. Smaller tournaments also take place throughout the summer in neighboring villages. Ask at the front desk for the detailed schedule of dates during your stay.

Is there a museum related to Sète and its artists that I can visit?

Absolutely. Sète is the birthplace of Georges Brassens and Paul Valéry. The Espace Brassens traces the singer’s life through a very well-done audio tour. The Paul Valéry Museum, perched on the hillside, combines permanent collections with superb views of the harbor. Enthusiasts can visit both in a single day.

Does the campsite offer Wi-Fi so you can stay connected?

Wi-Fi is available at the campsite for an additional fee. It’s handy for checking emails, planning an outing, or watching a movie in the evening. 4G cell service works well in the pine forest, allowing you to use a reasonable amount of data without running out of data allowance.

Is the campsite suitable for a vacation with teenagers?

Absolutely. Teens love the independence that campsite life offers: swimming whenever they want in the lagoon and at the beach, renting bikes to ride over to Marseillan or Agde, and water activities just a stone’s throw away. The lively summer evenings are a hit with this age group, as are day trips to Sète or Cap d’Agde, which are easy to organize.
