A Michelin-starred Campsite between the Languedoc and the Mediterranean

Nature reserve,
direct beach access and sustainable DNA

Before being a 4-star campsiteLa Tamarissière is first and foremost a place. A protected two-hundred-year-old pine forest facing the sea, where you can walk in the shade of the trees without ever losing sight of the Mediterranean. This rare position inspires the entire philosophy of the establishment: little built-up area, lots of nature, facilities designed not to alter the existing environment. The eco-chic identity of our ecological Campsite is reflected in the materials chosen, and direct access to the sand is the unbeatable argument: just a few steps from your accommodation and you’re ready to put your feet in the water.

That’s why heritage lovers choose this address as a base from which to discover the city of Molière, without giving up a true seaside and pinewood break.

Swimming in a lagoon surrounded by pine trees

A white-sand beach
in the heart of a pine forest

You’d think you were somewhere else. Our Campsite with lagoon has imagined a pool that has nothing in common with a traditional swimming pool: fine white sand, gentle slope, transparent water and pine trees in the background. The water is not salty, and is treated with UV and natural filtration, using very few products. The result is a gentle, almost bluffing bathing experience, with the sensation of being on the edge of a creek rather than in a pool. Families with toddlers stay in the shallow end, while others enjoy the beds and deckchairs. When the sun beats down, the pine forest takes over the shade. This water feature is one of the Campsite’s hallmarks, and the reason why people return year after year to put their towels in the same place.

Entertainment, services and everyday pleasures

Everything you need right here
to really settle in

In everyday life, there’s nothing more annoying than having to get back in the car whenever you need to. Our serviced Campsite has all the essentials at your fingertips: a friendly bar, a restaurant open to all, a well-stocked grocery store, a morning bread delivery service, a service area for motorhomes, a launderette and bike hire. Cyclists will appreciate the cycle path that runs along the seafront to Marseillan.

In terms of atmosphere, our Campsite with entertainment is the perfect accompaniment to summer: daytime kids’ clubs, sports tournaments, musical aperitifs and themed evenings are the order of the day in July and August. In the evening, the team favors the guinguette spirit rather than the show stage. You’ll leave with simple, sincere memories, just like the place itself.

Going out in Pézenas and the surrounding area

Molière’s Hometown, Wine Cellars,
” Beaches, and an Artisans’ Village

  • Lose yourself in the cobbled streets of Pézenas: mansions, Scénovision Molière, arts and crafts stores and weekly markets easily fill a morning.
  • Push on to the vineyards of Picpoul-de-Pinet or Faugères: several estates offer visits and tastings, sometimes in a very pleasant, confidential atmosphere.
  • In Agde, Saint-Étienne Cathedral and the Musée de l’Éphèbe reveal another facet of Languedoc’s heritage, a more ancient one.
  • Head for Sète, the Venice of Languedoc and Mont Saint-Clair, for a spectacular panorama of the Mediterranean and the Etang de Thau.
  • Cap d’Agde combines beaches, water sports and the famous Aqualand in season, perfect for a day out with the kids.
  • Finally, Mèze and Bouzigues, on the Etang de Thau, offer oyster tasting and lagoon walks in an atmosphere very different from that of the seafront.

None of this is more than an hour from our Campsite near Pézenas, so there’s plenty of time to get in for a final swim before dinner.
